Alice The Camel Has . . . Three Humps

So my kids always complain that we only let them have fish for pets. Tom and I finally caved and got them a camel--we do, after all, live in the desert. Makes sense, right? Okay, just kidding, not a pet.

We did, however, find some random guy in the desert with a camel. Slip him five bucks and you can ride his camel. Okay, just kidding again.

This is actually at the Phoenix Zoo. Over spring break we met up with Lorena and kiddos so our "wild animals" could mingle with other wild animals at the zoo. Turned out to be a fantastic day and this time we let them ride Alice. I didn't think Tommy would want anything to do with the camel, but as you can see, he loved it too.

P.S. Thanks for the pictures Lorena! I was smart enough to bring my own camera, but apparently not smart enough to bring batteries too.
