Tommy has about ten words in his little vocabulary thus far (and if you tell me it's because he was bottle-fed, I'll hit you in the head--my other child was bottle-fed too, and she spoke in complete sentences by age 2).
Anyhow, even with his limited vocabulary he seems to get what he's after. If he wants a pudding or applesauce cup, he hits the pantry door until someone opens it for him, and he lifts it out and hands it to you. If he wants to watch Baby Einsteins "On the Go," he brings the case to me and smiles until I put it in the DVD player. And if he wants what you're eating, he just babbles real cute right next to you (or screams if you're not fast enough).
So, like Cousin Grant, he is in no hurry to master the English language. (Since we live in Arizona, Espanol would come in handy too!)
