So tonight was an interesting Family Home Evening.
My little nerd (for some strange reason) had the urge to shove Nerds candy up his left nostril. It took me a minute to figure out why he was wailing and slapping his nose, but then I quickly discovered a few purple nerds shoved up there. We managed to get the one out, but the other one was up way too high.
So off we went to the closest ER that we figured wouldn't be too crowded. Fortunately they had us in and out of there in less than an hour. Funny thing was that he spent so much energy going crazy at home, that by the time we got to the hospital he was sound asleep. They poked and prodded and he didn't even so much as move.
So, we're back home now and he's still sound asleep. Needless to say, Nerds are off limits now. Gotta love two-year-olds!

Been there, done that. Except ours was an eraser that was bitten off the end of a pencil. And no one was sleeping. He was wrapped in a straight jacket and sat upon during the many, many attempts to retrieve the lost object. Just think, your life would be so boring without a little boy around!
Nerds up the nose!! That is what boys do. One of my boys lodged a peanut in his nostril once, luckily it came out a few hours later on its own without a trip to the ER. Luckily you got out of there fast. Think of all the stories you can tell his kids!!!
