It's That Time of Year Again . . .

October is my favorite month of the year here. Mainly because I know we've made it through another AZ summer and cooler temperatures will soon (FINALLY) be on their way. I also love October because Tom loves, LOVES Halloween, and I know the holiday season is just around the corner.
So, to continue with tradition, Tom scalped out the Bermuda grass and reseeded with Rye. I looks pretty dead and yellow now, but by Halloween, we should have a nice soft layer of deep, green winter grass. Yes, winter grass, I say. Remember, we earn our winters here by paying with summers from H*!@! So, while you folks in Utah enjoy your zero degree temperatures with a frozen layer of snow where your grass used to be, we'll be frolicking in the sunshine.
P.S. I have to thank Tom for all his hard work during his last trip home. You'd be so proud of him. He didn't even build one airplane! Instead, besides reseeding, he also spent an entire week helping me paint upstairs. Aren't husbands great sometimes? (JK, baby, you're great all the time!)
P.S.S. And your "honey-do" list won't be quite as long next time. At least not yet.

LOL....I remember listening to you EVERY year growing up..."I hope it snows for Christmas! It's just not the same if there's no snow at Christmas!" Now you're stringing lights in your palm trees! HA HA!

I still would prefer snow--on Christmas day only! And I do not string lights in my palm trees--I hold the ladder while Tom does it! HA HA!
