Fortunately, Sammie has taken to reading at an early age. She has loved to have books read to her since she was 18 months old, and has worked her way up to chapter books now.
Part of her nightly homework is to read, and while I typed on the computer today, she read aloud to me Junie B. Jones and the Stupid Smelly Bus and had the whole book finished in an hour.
Her grumpy 2nd grade teacher might not be impressed, but I am. It could also be that I'm a little partial.
