It has come to my attention that people think I am quite "mean" by having the car towed from the front of my house.
I had nothing to do with it (though I'm still quite happy it's gone). Our HOA has rules about cars staying on the street for too long. They noticed it had no license plates and called the Mesa City Police Department (after asking if it was mine, thank you very much). Then the PD put a lovely bright orange towing notice on it (with my address, thank you very much). He had plenty of time to move it, and still chose not to.
Then, the big clincher was when the city was trying to do some road construction on our street. They banged on my door, rang the doorbell, and woke me up--seems they wanted me to move "my" car! After being drug out of bed so rudely, I marched outside in my robe. "That piece of crap's not mine! It belongs to the bozo next door!"
They must have contacted the police department again, and then Mr. Apache Sands showed up that evening.
The end.
P.S. I am only "mean" when pushed too far. My hair's not red just for the fun of it!
